Have you ever thought of turning your love of plants into a career? Horticulture plays a vital role in feeding the world population. At the same time, the international food industry deals with all kinds of challenges, such as soil deterioration, plant diseases, insect pests, drought and floods. This is why it depends on upcoming professionals like yourself to develop innovative plant production systems. The International Horticulture & Management programme prepares you for your part in creating a sustainable and profitable horticultural sector by means of technological innovation and the application of entrepreneurial skills.

Programme content

This is what you will learn

In the first semester of the first year, there are three modules (see below). In the second semester, you follow courses in Angers, France and an internship. Through courses that you take at our partner university in Angers, France, you will learn in great detail about plant breeding and experimentation. Some of the subjects that you will study are plant pathology, genetics and crop protection. With the knowledge gained, you will be able to answer the question of how to respond to the climate challenges that plant breeding is faced with.

The second year consists of an internship at a company, a graduation thesis, the module Personal Development and two minors. These are three examples of minors to choose from:
