    • Tuition fee for academic year 2021-2022: €1.084,- (subject to change per academic year, click here for more information.). Students that register with a Dutch university for the first time, will only pay half of the tuition fee.
    • Get-on-Board Fee: € 120
    • Books (depending on programme): € 200 to € 300

    Extra costs for students European Food Business

    • Study tour to Italy for students European Food Business: € 850

    Students in International Food Business and European Food Business only pay tuition fee to Aeres UAS during the four years of study; they do not pay tuition fee to the partner universities involved in the study programme.

  • Tuition fees and study costs

    • Tuition fee for academic year 2021-2022 € 6277,- (subject to change per academic year)* Click here for more information.
    • Get-on-Board Fee: € 120
    • Books (depending on programme): € 200 to € 300

    * € 17377,- needs to be paid in advance before the visa application procedure as proof of sufficient financial means. This amount will cover all the required payments mentioned above and the costs for living in the Netherlands. After the start of your study, you will receive back the remaining amount.

    Only after consultation and approval of the International Office of Aeres UAS the amount can be paid in two instalments. The first instalment has to be paid before the visa application procedure, the second payment by proof of the availability of this amount on your bank account.

    • Master in Agribusinesss Development: introduction week, excursions and company visits (has to be paid to continue the application of accepted students) € 600

    • Pre-master: € 542,-

    • Handling fee and introduction week, excursions and company visits (has to be paid to continue the application of accepted students): € 650
    • Books and other study materials: €350
    • Visa application: € 194
    • Pre-master € 3139,-

    * € 17377,- needs to be paid in advance before the visa application procedure as proof of sufficient financial means. This amount will cover all the required payments mentioned above and the costs for living in the Netherlands. After the start of your study, you will receive back the remaining amount.

    Note tuition fees

    Based on additional Covid-19 measures for HBO and university and still pending formal decision-making, the tuition fee will very likely become €6.277,-. Click here for more information.

The overview consists of two types of expenses:

1. Study costs

Next to tuition fee, keep in mind other study costs like expenses for study tours, student activities and books.

2. Costs for living in the Netherlands

Paying tuition fees

  • In case you choose to pay the tuition fee in 1 term, the tuition fee will be deducted from your bank account around the 25th of October of that academic year.
  • Did you choose to pay in 7 terms, the tuition fee will be deducted from your bank account around the 25th of October, 25th of November, 25th of December, 25th of January, 25th of March and the 25th of April. With the first installment an additional € 24,- will be deducted for administration costs.
