Sandra van der Wielen studied Biology at Utrecht University. During her studies, she focused on ecology and ethology, and after that, her Scouting experiences led her to Nature and Environment Education.

Subsequently, Sandra worked for various organisations and founded her own business and foundation called in2nature. Ten years later, she began working as a Nature and Communication teacher for Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Wageningen. She teaches ecology, biology (+ coordination) and ‘International’, and conducts research on biomimicry.
