The Healthy living in green cities research program is about the transition to a sustainable society, about new business models for urban farming and factors that influence our lifestyles and nutrition.

If you run into difficulties, you can always contact someone within the university. Besides the mentor / study career counselor, there are also confidants, deans and student coaches you can turn to when you are dealing with personal problems or special circumstances.

Almere is the youngest city in the Netherlands. Only 35 years old and already more than 200,000 inhabitants. Almere does not have a long-standing tradition as a student city, but that is precisely what makes studying in Almere so challenging. Almere is still growing, just like you! Education is small-scale and personal. Almere Centrum is your campus with a fantastic library, lots of entertainment venues, spacious stores and cozy student housing. Almere is a city with guts. Come by and we'll show you everything!

Studying in Almere?

The studies we offer in Almere are about the knowledge needed to keep growing cities livable worldwide. That is why we train students around the themes of Food, Nature & Urban Green. Are you curious about the studies, about the building, and about our students and teachers? Come along on one of our Open Days or become a Student for a day.

Our building is easily accessible by car, public transportation and bicycle. There is free parking five minutes walk from the building. Bus stop 'Hortus' stops right in front of the building and is less than a minute's walk away. From Almere Centrum station you can take the bus or bike. It is about fifteen minutes cycling.

By car
Plan your trip via Google Maps. Navigate to the street 'Pyrus' in Almere. Diagonally opposite residential care center Flora is a large parking lot. This is a five-minute walk from our school building. Parking is free.
