Mandy van Vrugt works as a project manager at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten and is involved in the projects of various professorships, including those of Sustainable Soil Management and Environment Inclusive Entrepreneurship. Many researchers, students, organisations, businesses and government agencies take part in these projects. She sees much potential in connecting businesses and students, which is why she loves working as an internship coach to coach students during their internships and in writing their theses.

Mandy has expertise in innovation (processes) and has several years of experience as a business developer in the agrifood sector. Because of this, she knows very well what the (innovation) issues are. After obtaining her master’s degree in innovation management, she worked for 5 years as a researcher at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten. In that period, she conducted research on new, circular business models in the agricultural sector. At present, she no longer works as a researcher, but she still applies her research experience in her role as a project manager for the research team.
