About Karin Pepers

After studying Soil Water and Atmosphere at Wageningen UR with a specialisation in Soil Science, Karin began working as a prospector in the archaeology sector. She studied the landscape and the soil, in order to estimate the possibility of humans having lived in a certain area in the past.

In April of 2017, Karin started working as a Soil Science researcher and teacher for Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten. In the Sustainable Soil Management professorship, she works closely with Gera van Os on various soil science projects. Among other things, she developed a serious game, a soil science app, called the Soil Simulator. She is also working on the development of a new device, called the RhoC, that makes it easier to measure bulk density.
