About Corné Kempenaar

Corné Kempenaar became one of the professors of Precision Agriculture & Smart Farming at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten on 1 September 2012. He also works as a senior researcher of Precision Agriculture at Wageningen UR Plant Research International. He is an internationally renowned researcher with a broad field of expertise.

His research keywords are: precision agriculture, epidemiology, environmental effect, agricultural production methods, agroecology, decision-supportive systems, and pesticides. At present, his work focuses on projects on integrated crop protection and weed control. Other aspects that play an important part in the projects are: the MLHD method, Smart Farming, sustainable weed control, compaction, sustainable management of premises, and the Potato GAP China. The collaboration between Aeres University of Applied Sciences and Wageningen UR is of great value in these projects.
