CROHO is the abbreviation of the ‘Centraal Register Opleidingen Hoger Onderwijs’, which is the Dutch Central Higher Education Programmes Register. This register lists every accredited university and university of applied sciences programme in the Netherlands. Every programme on the CROHO register is given an official label that indicates that it meets the legal quality standards. You may apply for a student loan for an accredited programme and will receive a legally certified diploma or certificate on completion of the programme. You will need the ´CROHO number if you want to apply for a student loan at DUO or if you apply for a programme at Studielink.
