Bachelor studies in the Netherlands
There are two types of higher education in the Netherlands: research-oriented (offered by research universities) and profession-oriented (offered by Universities of Applied Sciences).
Our programmes are profession-oriented, developed in close consultation with relevant branches of industry, and will prepare you for particular professions. A Bachelor degree programme in the Netherlands leads to the nationally recognised Ingenieur (engineer) qualification, which is equivalent to the British BSc (Honours) and the French Licence Professionelle.
