Here at Aeres UAS, we believe that a disability should not get in the way of pursuing your academic goals. This is why we provide extra guidance, attention and facilities to students who need it, so that they proceed with their studies with little to no obstacles. Our goal is to help students with disabilities to become as independent and personally responsible as possible, both during and after their studies.

With some extra support and guidance, most students with a disability are able to successfully complete their studies within an acceptable timespan. These can be students who have a disability or a chronic disease, or students who experience other limitations during their studies.

Would you like to know which facilities are available to you? Please contact us before you begin studying to discuss the limitations that you see yourself dealing with. The student coach will be there for you if you need extra support. They can help you find out what is important to you and how you can get a grip on your situation and prevent a delay in your studies. Check the list below to get an idea of the kind of situations we are talking about:

You can talk to the student counsellor about the inappropriate behaviour of other people and they can help you lodge a complaint before the complaints authority. The complaints authority will investigate the complaint and ensure that direct action is taken as soon as possible. The student counsellor is also the person you can talk to about other social-emotional problems or if you need an intermediary to talk to others. 

Feel free to contact the student counsellors whenever you want by email or by phone. If you prefer, you can make an appointment outside the school premises. Are you experiencing problems that you do not wish to talk about to your personal tutor? Talking about your problems with someone can provide relief. So, please do not wait too long and get in touch. We encourage entrepreneurship and taking the initiative in general. This is why we have several ways in which you can focus on your own business during your studies. To give you an example, you can carry out assessments and assignments for your own business. And in the final year of your studies, you can even graduate in your own business via our ‘Green Starters Traject’, our project for students who want to start a ‘green’ business.
