Programme: Food Safety Management
I have studied Food Safety Management and graduated in 2011. I loved my time in Dronten and it taught me much. I have really good memories of my time here and I ended up staying in the Netherlands for my current job. I firmly believe that studying abroad not only gives you the right qualifications, but also the confidence to apply for the jobs you really want.
Currently, I work as a quality manager in a pig slaughter house at Vion, Groenlo. I make sure all the process is performed safe, high-quality and the customer received whatever he wants. First I had an internship in this company for research. I saw their advertisements before we had to search for internships. I always find this the meat industry interesting, so I accepted the challenge. On my drive home I got a call saying yes we’ll use your research, then I had a part time job in research. After that I went in the direction of quality control and for two and a half years I had this quality management position. It was a challenging process, I have had ups and downs. I completed my master’s degree and I am currently doing PHD and hopefully graduating next year. I am currently studying Dutch and Twents!
