Programme: Agribusiness and Business Administration
I am one of the Alumni students from 2011 and I studied an Agribusiness and Business Administration program for one year. I chose this profile because I studied Culture Management in Latvia, and I considered that this program allows me to extend my knowledge. I came here with an Erasmus exchange program which made it financial possible for me to study here.
From the moment I graduated the 2 universities, Aeres UAS (previous CAH Vilentum) and the one from Latvia, I had several jobs. I am the type of person who wants to try new experiences so I moved a lot from The Netherlands to Latvia, back to Netherlands, to Canada and finally to London, where I am living for the past 3 years. I started working as an event manager developing my management skills by working at a worldwide travel agency, TUI, organizing worldwide events. That was my dream job but I had to go because there was no more chances for me to grow and it was also a temporary contract. After my job at TUI, I worked for a Science University in London as an event manager for a big event. At the moment, as a part time job, I am involved in the Latvian community from UK which organizes different events for Latvians. My full time job is an on-site manager for a recruitment company who hires third-parties temporary staff for Amazon.com.
Being an international student in Dronten helped me develop my international experience and approach and made it easier for me to communicate with people from different cultures. For me, there is no “one best memories” from my time spent here. The whole year was an amazing experience by making friends, which were like a family for me and the competences and knowledge that I got here. I will always remember the Friday nights spent here and the international environment.
