If you would like to study at Aeres UAS and would like to take your own horse with you, it is possible to stable your horse at the Paardenplaats. The Paardenplaats is a livery stable for the students and is situated close to the University and campus (about 1 km.)
Each year four Aeres UAS students of the third year are responsible for the day to day running of the Paardenplaats. The daily affairs are organised, guided and controlled by these four committee members. Maintaining contact with customers and external suppliers are included in the tasks. This involves: arranging hire contracts; organising meetings; ordering sufficient feed and silage and making sure the accommodation is well maintained. The committee is responsible for one school year, which gives them practical management training and prepares them for managing their own business at a later stage in life. Every student from the Equine Business Management course is eligible to apply for a position in the committee. The committee will be guided by a school coach.
All livery customers are expected to help with the weekend schedules. A weekend schedule provides students with the opportunity to go home at the weekend. Two students will be needed per weekend. Of course you will also have plenty of opportunities to ride and train your horse.
