Trimester 1 in Dronten: Orientation and Chain Analysis

A set of two minors aimed at general management and advisory competencies:

International studies
This minor helps students to function successfully in an international business environment, since many graduates will find a job in a business organisation.

Food chain consultant
This minor focuses on the food chain in which agribusiness plays an important role.
The following topics will be studied: 

  • Export plan and mananagement simulation
  • advisory skills
  • sustainable supply chains and logistics
  • human resource management and leadership styles
  • quality management and food safety


Trimester 2 in Anger: Specialisation in Agribusiness operations and consultancy

  • Business analysis and management
  • Human resources management
  • Applied marketing
  • Financial calculations


Trimester 3 in Angers: International Trade and entrepreneurship

Two units involving trade and entrepreneurship in agricultural production:

  • International food trade
  • Business operations

ECT system

All records of modules are administered according to the EC system. After one semester in a course, students’ progress and results are assessed in a meeting of the lecturers teaching and assessing the course. This meeting is meant to identify students with possible progress problems. At the end of the course , students’ progress and results are assessed again. The award of a degree or diploma and pertinent qualification follows the award of all course credits leading to that award.

Successful graduates will be competent in the following areas of expertise:

  • Commercial activities, national and international
  • Entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector
  • Market development and marketing strategies for agricultural products
  • Employment in national or EU policy institutes


Successful applicants for the 1.5 year Bachelor degree courses must have:

  • Completed BTS, DUT, HND or Licence 2 or at least three years of university study in agriculture or a related subject         
  • A minimum score of 550 in the TOEFL English test or a formally recognised equivalent such as the IELTS (level 6.0) or IBT (79)
  • The ability to formulate coherently in written English, and to have a vision of the chosen area of interest. Essay writing is part of the selection procedure
  • Strong motivation to be successful in the sector
  • Team spirit, a flexible attitude in an international working environment
  • Funding in the form of a grant or a stipend, or private means

How to apply

The application procedure consists of two steps. The first step is to complete the application form on our website and send in your CV and motivation letter, indicating which course you would like to apply for. Our application committee will inform you about the result. If you are eligible, the second step is an invitation for an intake interview and a paper-based English test or you can submit proof of English proficiency: TOEFL / IELTS.
