After a career as a florist in different flower shops in the Netherlands, Germany and France I obtained my Master Degree in Floral Design and Official Teacher’s License and started teaching in vocational floral design education. Since 1987 I taught in Aeres university for applied sciences and teacher’s education and at the Green Business school and Food Design Academy of HAS university. I am an official examiner for professional examinations for the professional qualifications (Advanced) Dutch Flower Arrangements, All-Round Dutch Flower Arranger and the Dutch Master in Floral Design. And official assessor for the National Certified Judge Floral design of Florint. At the moment I mainly conduct examinations, professional demonstrations, exhibits and lessons for EFDA (European Floral Design Academy) abroad. Besides that, I write articles for professional magazines and websites.
My passion is to practice Floral Art myself and to share it with others. I act from a holistic point of view. Flowers and nature are related to art, design, fashion, handicraft, daily life, spirituality, culture, history etc. In this way Experiencing Floral Art is essential for me.
